Biospecimens Distribution Network

histo imageThe Biospecimens Distribution Network consists of the National Primate Research Centers and affiliated research institutes with independent biospecimen distribution programs. Our mission is to provide greater access and maximize the use of the precious nonhuman primate resources for the purpose of biomedical research. Through the Network’s NHP Biospecimen program, samples are available either ante or postmortem from a variety of NHP species. Samples can be collected prospectively or are available through NHP tissue repositories. Program coordinators assist in developing customized tissue collections including preparation and preservation methods, sample storage and shipment of biological materials.
